Dr. Matthew Schenk is a visionary educational leader with a strong background in administration, leadership, and educational policy. Later, Matthew earned his Doctor of Education in Leadership and Innovation from Arizona State University. As a doctoral student, Dr. Schenk’s research centered around the benefits of peer observation for early career teachers. He found that if educators have the opportunity to observe one another and discuss teaching practices, they enjoy teaching more, are more effective, and are less more likely to remain in the profession.

He is certified in Structured English Immersion (SEI), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Crisis Response, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid/CPR/AED. He also managed finances, ensured the facility was safe and secure, regularly met with teachers and parents, and supported teachers in regards to their disciplinary decisions.
In addition to his work in K-12 education, Dr. Matthew Schenk has also worked at the university level. He was an Academic Associate for Arizona State University for two years. As an Academic Associate, Dr. Schenk taught courses and provided guidance for 25 to 30 students throughout the course of each semester.
