Matthew Schenk

Dr. Matthew Schenk is a visionary educational leader with a strong background in administration, leadership, and educational policy. His primary goal as a leader in education is to provide every student with a high-quality education that prepares them for future success. He would love to see all students equipped with technological skills, as well as the innovative thinking skills that will be necessary to shape the future. To accomplish this, Dr. Schenk hires and trains fiercely passionate educators who are dedicated to their students, as well as their own personal and professional development.

Matthew Schenk received his undergraduate degree from Grand Canyon University in 2007. He then attended Northern Arizona University, where he earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration. Later, Matthew earned his Doctor of Education in Leadership and Innovation from Arizona State University. As a doctoral student, Dr. Schenk’s research centered around the benefits of peer observation for early career teachers. He found that if educators have the opportunity to observe one another and discuss teaching practices, they enjoy teaching more, are more effective, and are less more likely to remain in the profession.

Dr. Matthew Schenk holds numerous educational certifications. He is certified in Structured English Immersion (SEI), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Crisis Response, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid/CPR/AED. He is also an Arizona Qualified Evaluator and a Level 1 & 2 Google Certified Educator. Additionally, he is certified as an educator in Elementary Education, Middle Grades Social Studies, Middle Grades ELA, Secondary History, and Secondary English. He is also certified as a principal in Arizona.

Dr. Matthew Schenk has worked primarily in K-12 public schools with dual-language immersion programs. From 2015 to 2019, he served as a school administrator for the Cave Creek Unified School District. In that role, Dr. Schenk ran the school’s day-to-day operations while providing direct supervision for all regular instructional and professional staff members assigned to the school. He also managed finances, ensured the facility was safe and secure, regularly met with teachers and parents, and supported teachers in regards to their disciplinary decisions.

In addition to his work in K-12 education, Dr. Matthew Schenk has also worked at the university level. He was an Academic Associate for Arizona State University for two years. As an Academic Associate, Dr. Schenk taught courses and provided guidance for 25 to 30 students throughout the course of each semester.

Currently, Dr. Matthew Schenk is a Senior Consultant for Radiant Learning, a higher education preparation company. His primary responsibilities in this role include establishing international partnerships between China and the United States and connecting secondary schools with the resources to support their students in higher education endeavors. The schools Matthew works with include K-12 language immersion schools, as well as higher education institutions. He also works with many schools seeking various types of accreditation.

Matthew Schenk works tirelessly to support students and educators around the world because he believes that education is the best investment we can make for our collective future. One of his favorite quotes is by John Dewey: “If we teach today’s students as we taught yesterday’s, we rob them of tomorrow.”
